Khauzerman Fm
Type Locality and Naming
Along Mount Khauzieram, left bank of the Khanaka River, western part of the Zarafshan–Gissar mountain region, in the basin of the Kashkadarya River. Muftiev et al., 1978 (314, p. 46).
Synonym: Khauzieramskaya Suite, Хаузерманская св., Hauserman Fm
Lithology and Thickness
A weakly rhythmic sequence of light-gray to gray limestones with brownish tones, alternating with layers of massive, foraminiferal, nodular, and crustose limestones, with rare interbeds of oolitic limestone. Thickness 120–200 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Conformably overlies the massive limestones of the Khalikdot Fm
Upper contact
Upper contact with the terrigenous Marguzor Fm being tectonic throughout.
Regional extent
Restricted to the southern part of the Zeravshan–Gissar mountain region.

Marginifera Marginifera Helms., P. gracilis sigmoidalis Ziegl., Polygnathus semicostatus Br. et Mebl., P. obliquicostatus Ziegl.; foraminifers – Quasiendothyra communis communis Raus., Parathurammina paulis Byk., P. dagmarae Sul., P. minima Antr., P. Spinosa Lip., Uralinella angusta Sab., Eotuberitina reitlingerae M.-Macl., E. talassica Pojark., and others.
